Great local spot. Fish store in front and small casual restaurant in back. Super fresh delicious food. Great specials, we had the swordfish with chimichanga sauce, amazing! Their bacon wrapped acallops are incredible. Excellent lobster bisque too. And frieny fast service. We love coming here!

This is one of my favorite places to eat. It's cozy with a wonderful atmosphere. I have a favorite dinner that they accommodated for me and not many places will do that. I love it so much that even with such an appetizing menu I can't help but always choose the same one. Try this restaurant... you'll go back again for their great food and service.

Great little separate restaurant in the back of a fish market in Maywood. We had clams casino, fried calamari & New England clam Chowder to start. All were spot on. Clams full of flavor & bacon, calamari nice portion, super crispy & tender. Chowder was full of flavor. Could have used a few more clams would be the only knock. For entrees, the wife had shrimp scampi over linguine. 4 nice jumbo shrimp over a bed of pasta. I tasted it and it was pretty solid. For her it was a little too lemony. I got broiled sole, shrimp, and scallops with french fries and vegetables. Cooked perfect with the right amount of seasoning as well. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Nothing was dry, which is always a worry. Seafood Gourmet, what a great catch. In!

I was eating at another restaurant the other day and saw they had Chilean Seabass on the menu and really wanted it however here they had it for less than half that price and knew it would probably be better and so I waited and came here. I ordered to go the lunch portion (at dinner time. Yes you can!) of the Seabass and rice pilaf. When I arrived at the store I saw they had to take home Clams Casino, six for only $7.50, so I did that. The clams were fantastic and the Seabass could not have been cooked more perfectly. The lunch size portion was perfect for me, a thick palm size fillet which goes for quite a bit these days and they got amount of rice. Perfect as always.

This place was always on my list to visit and I finally got to it this past Saturday for lunch. Tucked in the back of a Seafood Deli, it kinda gives an old school Italian joint. There was no wait as we got there a little before 4pm, just in time before they switched to Dinner menu pricing. We started off with a New England Chowder and a lobster bisque- both were amazing and I could've had another lobster bisque if i could! After that was the mixed seafood Salad, mixed greens with Shrimp calamari For main entrees we ordered the Fried Clam strips which was ok but was definitely overshadowed by the Grilled Halibut which was very yummy! Will definitely continue coming back to try other items - and the lobster bisque again!

Was in the area and was highly recommend. It was dinner time to I decided to do a takeout order. I called ahead for a lobster roll that would be ready in 10 minutes, it really only took 5. It came warm so I was really excited. Would recommend paying cash as they do charge the 3% credit card fee which wasn't disclosed when I asked if cash or credit was better but it wasn't a big deal. It ended up being $30. Getting into the sandwich, then bread was buttery and toasted with huge chunks of lobster stuffed in it. I should have mentioned that I would have preferred Maine style (butter) vs. Connecticut style (mayo) but honestly the Connecticut style was not bad at all and I'm usually not a huge mayo person. It wasn't drowning in the mayo or too overwhelming and the finely chopped celery added a nice subtle crunch, again not too overpowering. Totally worth the money in my opinion. I would definitely come back here to try the other items on the menu or even to pick up some fresh fish for cooking.

Seafood Speakeasy! This unassuming Fish Market's best kept secret is that it operates a restaurant in the back of the marketplace with the freshest catch you'll find anywhere! Truly so good they will have you hook, line and sinker! The Halibut is to die for and lobster bisque with generous lobster portions. Better yet, if you want your favorite fish cooked a certain way, they've got you covered! Blackened swordfish? No worries matey! The room is small, immaculate and intimate yet service is kind, friendly and expedient. Note there is an early dinner crowd of locals, so timing is key. Nonetheless, despite the humble setting Seafood Gourmet churns out the most delicious seafood around, rivaling the most discriminating seafood establishments you can think of. Set sail on a voyage worth taking!
